The A Team movie is back on track

Quite a while ago there was a lot of talk about an A Team movie.  John Singleton was set to direct and it looked like it had legs, well that was until Singleton left the project last year after casting issues.  When he left it looked like the project might die, that was until this morning when I learned that Joe Carnahan is closing on a deal to direct it.

The best thing about this new report (from the Hollywood Reporter) is that they say Tony and Ridley Scott will produce and these guys certainly know how to do action.  As it states in the report, Carnahan’s gritty and grounded action style will be well complimented by the Scotts.

Fox are the studio behind the re-imagining of the 1980’s cult TV show and have already set a release date of the 11th June 2010.
