Notorious

NOTORIOUS is the story of Christopher Wallace. Through raw talent and sheer determination, Wallace transforms himself from Brooklyn street hustler (once selling crack to pregnant women) to one of the greatest rappers of all time; THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G. Follow his meteoric rise to fame and his refusal to succumb to expectations - redefining our notion of “The American Dream.” to take the world of rap music by storm.

I have watched a lot of these rap bio-pics of late, and this I thought would be just another way for the rap mogals to reap cash in from the fans. 8 Mile was good, Get Rich or Die Trying was okay, Notorious like the man behind it, was out of this world.

Not knowing too much I have to admit about the big fella, or his music it was a welcome surprise that he not only influenced the genre, he recreated it. An ability to spit lyrics out about anything at any time is portrayed fantastically.

I hate to admit that I don’t know that much about the east coast west coast divide, but it seems it was a fully hyped up nonsense which in the end took the wind out of the sails of the two legends of the industry. Hopefully putting an end to the war between these names, it will never justify the outcome.

Seeing the mothers side of his life was a refreshing, she was not a dope fend and she only wanted the best for her boy. Well acted, well written and played loud enough it will make you walk out wanting to wax lyrical and tell everyone that you are no, no, notorious.
