February 23, 2009

I’ve just read on Movieblog.com that Jackie Chan’s latest project, Shinjuku Incident, has been considered too violent for most of China and as they don’t want to censor it fans will need to be in Hong Kong, Japan or Southeast Asia to watch it.  You can read the full article here. [Read more]

My Name is Bruce

February 22, 2009

My Name is Bruce is the heroic struggle of a small mining town (Gold Lick, Oregon) to rid itself of a vengeful monster. Guan-di (Jamie Peck), the Chinese god of war and protector of the dead, has been unleashed by cemetary desecrating teenagers to protect the graves of Chinese miners lost in a deadly cave-in of yesteryear.

The deadly demon’s mission is to eradicate all those who transgressed against the tomb (relatives included), which is virtually the entire population of Gold Lick. The inbred community has to find a solution so Jeff (Taylor Sharpe), the sole survivor of a deadly Guan-Di encounter, takes it upon himself to kidnap his idol, Bruce Campbell(Bruce Campbell), star of countless B-movie horror films, and recruit him to be their local savior. Wolverine TV spots online

February 18, 2009

Over the last few nights Fox have been airing short TV spots for Wolverine and now all three are available online.  The spots, titled Outcasts, Brothers and Legends actually convey quite a lot of the story considering they’re only a minute long each.  The first is the set up with a young Wolvie dealing with the death in the family the only way he knows how (I love the idea of the claws being made of bone at first, genius), the second features strongly on the dodgy relationship with his brother (Sabretooth) and in the last one we get to see loads of action as the Brothers are recruited into some sort of elite fighting crew with other mutants.  It features a look at Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Gambit and a few others.
